The first International Open Kyokushin-kan Championship of the Podolsk-Dojo Club was held in February 2024 in the city of Chekhov at the modern arena of the Olympic Sports Palace. About 800 athletes from 12 countries took part in the competition. The winners of the tournament were athletes from 11 countries: Russia, Kuwait, Armenia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Abkhazia.
Among the guests of honor were famous athletes not only from this sport, but also Olympic judo champion Mansur Isaev and world boxing champion Denis Lebedev. Mikhail Viktorovich Slipenchuk, President of the Kyokushin-kan Karate-do Federation of Russia and other members of the federation's board, attended the tournament. At the opening ceremony, the anthem of Russia was performed by the famous singer Irina Dubtsova.
